A few weeks ago, I filmed this short little bit of Behind The Scenes footage in the wee hours of the night. It's pretty much how I feel right now, 'cept I've been busier tooling with bloggy things than I have with writing scripts.
By the by, I completed the first draft of a script over the weekend. It's not yet funny enough. It needs to get much funnier very soon, or I shall go mad.
I was watching RoboCop earlier today, and the cop behind the desk said the phrase "Suit Up!" It made me curious. Here's a few other movies with the phrase "Suit Up" or similar. I've seen a little bit of "How I Met Your Mother"; it looks like a pretty crap show, but at present it's the number one contender for the show I get accused of ripping off.
"Ta Douleur" by Camille is currently the best song ever written. The video is awesome, too.
I'm watching the 24 mobile series, entitled 24:Conspiracy. I've not seen much of 24, but this is ultra crap and ultra tedious. Each episode is one minute long (I'm watching them back-to-back); 24 minutes in total. I'm up to episode 6, and it looks like it's going to be another 18 minutes of shit. It's cool though - I'm glad I'm watching it; it's like a manual of how NOT to do a cross-platform television show.
Recognising the power of viral marketing, NBC's "Video" page features this blurb on a page that features embedded small clips from their shows. The clips are quite short in duration and are evidently seen by NBC as having "viral" potential. Embedded video's probably not the most traditional of viral marketing methods, though.

Amazingly, I'm making this post from Hamilton. Maybe I'll be able to post at school, even if i can't see the blog itself.
Sorry for the lack of info over the last week, people, but I've been busy.
I've made a couple of things now for the Kino Kabaret, which has been much fun thus far, despite my sometime lack of attendance. I've met heaps of great people, many of whom I'd love to work with again. Adam has jumped in headlong, and even Keagan and Maxx have joined in. If anyone else is interested in checking it out, come by anytime - we're next to the Holiday Inn on Hindley St.
Suit Up! has lain fallow for the last few days, but I hope to get a look at it sometime today. Characters need quite a bit of fine-tuning and I need to talk to Leigh and Peter about these people that are starting to take shape.

On the back of what Peter was talking about, I stayed up til six in the morning last night working on my character profiles. I got some good stuff, I reckon, but I am yet to review it this morning.
Peter also suggested channeling the moment (usually between the ages of 7-10) when you first thought that you could be or, better yet, were God. I can kind of see how that would work. I'm not sure I'd quite nail it though, seeing how my John Howard impersonation was never all that good.
I've had a really good day of writing today. I've written some basic character profiles and started to flesh out some storylines. It's gonna be hard to keep it snappy - my last short was fairly drawn out, so snappy isn't my style at present. Snappy it'll be, though, I assure you.
At present we have about five main characters, Graeme, Harris, Saul, Mel and Siri, with a few other regulars floating around. I'm still working to flesh out the inhabitants of this little world - likewise their names - but I really feel that I've achieved a lot today. It remains to be seen what Peter and Leigh say. Peter will say I need more gags. (He needs a gag, more like. Hi, Peter!)
I've got to get writing, but I just don't no where to start. I'm completely petrified.
A cool little diversion was making two "Shoot The Fringe" shorts, one with Adam and Alan and one with Amy and Adam.
I'm also taking part in the Kino Kabaret in about 4 days time. It's going to be a busy few weeks.
